《Venetian Macau Open》详细介绍:

The Venetian Macau Open is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the Asian Tour, which is organised by Macau Sport Development Board of Macau SAR Government (MSDB) and Golf Association of Macau (GAM). Sanctioned by the latter and the Asian Tour, the event is promoted by IMG.

Inaugurated in 1998, the tournament will hold its sixteenth edition in 2014 with a total prize pool of US$900,000.

The event is held at the picturesque Macau Golf and Country Club at Estrada de Hac Sa Coloane and carries a four-day, stroke play competition format involving 144 players. The Macau Open welcomed The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel as title sponsor in 2012, which confirmed its return in the same capacity for the 2014 event. The Venetian Macau Open was won by Australia's Scott Hend last year who followed the footsteps of European stars Lee Westwood and Colin Montgomerie. Other top stars who have graced the fairways of the Macau Golf and Country Club include India's Gaganjeet Bhullar, Vijay Singh of Fiji, England’s Nick Faldo, Ireland’s Padraig Harrington and American duo Fred Couples and Mark O’Meara. The only player to have ever won the tournament twice is China’s Zhang Lian-wei.
