The 6th annual Madfin Shark Series returns as the only nationally televised catch and release shark competition in the world. Bocca Grande, FL will be the backdrop for an all new 2012 Madfin, as four all new 2-man teams will compete in a 3-day slugfest, finding and catching dangerous sharks, measuring them at the boat, and releasing them alive for points. Bonus points are awarded to teams for getting their hands down close to the jaws and removing the hooks. After two days of competition, one team will be eliminated from the competition, while the final three teams battle each other (and the sharks) on the final day of the competition. Some of the most dangerous moments in Madfin history are caught on camera and the drama comes all the way down to the final hour… and then some (stay tuned.) Different sharks are more dangerous than others, and thus worth different points. Sharks scoring points include lemon sharks, bull sharks, blacktips, hammerheads, tigers, etc. The winner of the three day event holds the 2012 title of Madfin Shark Series Champions. British actor Butler Yates once again returns as the dramatic voiceover, and outdoor host and star Tommy Sanders returns on camera to handle all the business involved with the competitors. Eight cameras, including underwater and aerial coverage, once again set the bar for the up-close-and-personal experience.
